Patient Enrollment
MCCN participates as a healthcare provider in several programs for low-income individuals and families. Former Medi-CAL recipients and other low-income persons are encouraged to inquire about these special programs.
The majority of patients served by MCCN at its North Hills site are Hispanic (89.9%) at its North Hills site. Less than 4% are white. Approximately two-thirds of the patients are female, and range in age from newborn to the elderly. MCCN provided 3, 180 patient visits during its first year of operation. By the seventh year, more than 24, 000 patient visits were provided to more than 7, 000 people. Today,more than 60, 000 patient visits are recorded each year.

A patient's eligibility is based on: Family size, income, and health insurance status. Proof of address and income are necessary to qualify for programs.

Health Education and Outreach Services Clinic and community-based health education instruction is available concerning nutrition, hygiene, dental health, child safety, perinatal care, parenting tobacco prevention, and teen pregnancy prevention. Specific programs include Black Infant Health, Healthy Families and Teen Smart. |
Case Management Consultation is available to patients on matters that concern their medical healthcare. Tracking and referral to other treatment facilities is provided.

Pediatric Services Comprehensive health supervision, assessment, maintenance and, continuing care for minor illnesses, chronic and acute conditions for individuals under 18 years of age.
